A New Name. A New Look.

Before the Interactive Intelligence acquisition, the Genesys user conference was called GForce – I kid you not. After 2016 it was called CX17 and CX18. The CX moniker was already being used by several companies in the space including Forrester so we changed it to something more proprietary and aligned with our brand strategy of owning the best customer experiences. I worked with my team to develop the strategy and new name.

As part of the renaming exercise, I introduced the idea of a messaging theme and messaging pillars to support the theme for each event. The goal was to create a focused event experience. The marketing materials, keynotes and breakout sessions also reinforced the theme.

We flew our MC along with my video team to Denver to shoot a series of promo videos at the venue and around the city. We used these promos in emails, blogs, social, paid digital, etc.

The opening keynote video introduced the theme for the event. We created a dramatic, full sensory experience with a super wide (8:1) hyper-fidelity LED concave screen accompanied by live music.
